The Tanggula Mountain Range is located on the border between the northeastern part of China's Tibet Autonomous Region and Qinghai Province. The eastern section is the boundary mountain between Tibet and Qinghai. The southeast extends to the Yunling and Nushan mountains of the Hengduan Mountains. It is a mountain range in the central part of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau with a nearly east-west direction.
